My Secret Language Name

You know how I used to feel about personality tests, dear readers, but you've convinced me to be open to this sort of self-discovery since we last discussed the subject and so I was delighted when the opportunity to uncover my Secret Language Name came my way!  The result is based on your birthday  and reveals your natural identity but, as the results explain, it's not your grandmother's astrology - it comes from a 40 year empirical study of more than 20,000 people.  Want to know what I got?
from the SLN.ME website
Well, I think you'll agree that all of this, copied directly from my results, matches me perfectly - uncomfortably so, in some parts!  A few of the sections included advice, a lot of which sounded all too familiar.  I can't tell you how often Jon tells me to lighten up and go with the flow!  I've also learned from him that I need to "soften [my] stance a bit - take things as they come and let them go as they will," which is one of the SLN.ME suggestions, as well as to "slow down enough to realize others’ value and worth and learn the art of appreciation."  That's definitely something I've struggled with as I've taken charge of our current visa process; I can let opportunities to enjoy our relationship, long-distance though it may be, slip right past me as I focus on the end goal of being together again.

Will you check out your Secret Language Name?  It's always enlightening to discover more about your personality traits and how to maximize them productively!  The meditation for my day is "We have met the enemy and he is us" and, too often, that's true for me - it's good to be reminded of it so I can make sure my personality directs my thoughts and actions positively rather than negatively.  Go visit SLN.ME and let me know how accurate it is for you!

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

  1. I always think these kinds of things are so interesting! I thought the month description fit you quite well, but didn't fit me at all. I'll definitely be checking this out!

  2. I went to check it out (and for the husband, too) it it was surprisingly accurate for both of us. We wondered a little bit just how it was so accurate!

  3. I don't know - it' a little creepy/cool knowing that there are people walking around with your personality, isn't it?

  4. To be fair, I cut and pasted from a much larger explanation! Maybe the bits I didn't include fit you :)

  5. Yes! When I was little, the boy on the corner and I had the same exact birthday and we were great friends (I secretly loved him) but they moved a few towns away when I was 10 so I never knew him as an older person. I wonder how similar we would be today. ?

  6. well the other thing is that I think a lot of this personality stuff can go any way depending on how you use it, you know? like, I could exhibit my traits REALLY negatively if I let myself... or I could make them be productive for me!

  7. I know what you mean- so much of it can be circumstantial based on your situation. But knowing that people on a certain date have the same basic starting ingredients is still kind of strange.

  8. This is kind of scarily accurate, more so than I'll go into depth in this comment. It basically says that I oscillate between very intense and very relaxed. Truth. But I love that my Secret Language Name is "Structured Charged Reactor."

  9. Well I love personality tests so I'm always up for a new one. Unfortunately this didn't describe me at all. Like not even a little bit.

I'm always more skeptical of personality tests that don't actually let you answer anything about your personality. I typically like the ones that let you learn more about yourself and how you can use your strengths and improve your weaknesses. The ones that help you understand yourself better. I'm still always up for playing though!

  12. He's gotten pretty good at avoiding the intense times. He has shocked me into outraged laughter a couple times by diving for cover, shouting, "Look out, it's shark week!" I can't not laugh.

  14. I am definitely guilty of loving these personality type tests. I am a Wondrous Roleplayer, which I quite like the sound of. Many of the traits are accurate, although the confidence and non emotive features described are not like me at all. As a Leo I am always described as overly driven and egotistical which I can never decide if it's me or not. It's really interesting to read though, I have never seen one like this.
