He's Bona Fide

I guess all of our American activities this weekend - pumpkin picking yesterday and an NFL game today - paid off, because Jon and I came back to our apartment this evening after two days at my parents' house to find that his green card had arrived!

Jon's visa, put into his passport by the US Embassy in London, stood in for his green card, which we were told could take up to six months to arrive.  But it's here now and it's valid until September 2016, when he applies to change his status from conditional to permanent.  Woohoo!  Now we just have to wait for him to be assigned a social security number...

  1. Yay for the green card! The status change is easy-peasy, but keep every bill/statement that shows cohabitation between now and then!

  6. His green card is obviously a direct result of the American pastimes and American junk food.
