ABCs of Spring in DC

As you can tell from my lack of blogging and my excessive Instagrams, Jon and I have been having the most wonderful time since he arrived in DC last Friday evening.  I managed to pin him down to help with a quick alphabetical list (inspired by Amanda's recent ABCs of spring post) of what we've been up to - I have lengthier posts about a few of these adventures planned, so consider this a teaser!

American food - fries with buffalo blue cheese sauce, chili cheese dogs, and funnel cake at Nats Park
Baseball
Cherry blossoms
Drinks on the waterfront along the Potomac
Exploring on foot (more about this in a guest post from Jon on Thursday!)
Fancy chocolate easter eggs imported from England
Getting together with old and new friends
Hey, can you take a photo of me and Charlie?
Itchy eyes - allergies ahoy!
Jokes around the dinner table
Kissing goodbye at the metro before work in the morning
Learning how to be a family of three with Charlie
Magnolias in bloom
New compromises regarding cohabitation
Opening all the windows to let in the warm breeze
Puppy cuddles
Queuing at Whole Foods
Rock Creek Park
Sunrise at the Tidal Basin
Ugh, Charlie, drop it!
Visiting the FDR and MLK memorials
Window shopping in Georgetown
eXperimenting with new recipes for a dinner party (check back on Tuesday for a culinary post!)
Yellow daffodils
ZipCar at 6am on Saturday to avoid the crowds on the Mall

  2. That phot looks so pretty! No spring flowers here in Canada yet, but we do have grass shoots!

  3. I'm trying to decide if there is such a thing as excessive Instagrams. I love them. They're such nice little vignettes of someone's day. I think my social media life would be happily complete with the little snippets of wisdom and life I get on Instagram and Twitter {in other words, I'd dump Facebook if my family weren't such Facebook junkies}.

  6. Love this ABCs - what a fun idea for a post! And I've never had a chance to visit DC in the spring but have always wanted to. If I managed to enjoy many of these things on February and August visits, I think I'd love it even more in April :)
