If you're in the United States, you're probably freezing or thawing, depending on how long you've been either inside or outside. If you're in the UK, you're probably wet and, from the way Jon tells it, mildewing gently. So let's not say anything more about the weather - there's nothing more to be said, really. Let's just enjoy photos* from my family's week in the Bahamas** to celebrate Nana and Pappy's 60th wedding anniversary and pretend we're somewhere hot and sunny.
*None of these photos have been edited - although some have been cropped - except for the sixth, which I stole from my sister's Instagram. The eighth was prepped for my Instagram but I never posted it; I don't think any of these are repeats from what you've already seen!
**My mother and Uncle Mark and his wife, Jo, were with us, too, but I really did try to keep my phone away while we were all together so I don't have many photos of them from this trip. Regardless, it was so wonderful to all be together and I'm beyond grateful that Nana and Pappy made it possible!

ReplyDeleteI love that beach dress you have on suits you so well!
ReplyDelete"mildewing gently" = ha!
ReplyDeletealso, regarding your last asterisk, I don't really see what's so wrong with using your phone as a camera while you're on vacation. admittedly I'm a person who really enjoys taking photos, but it's not like snapping a few pictures is really taking you out of the moment or making you unsociable or something (unlike the act of posting said pictures to social media...that can take up a chunk of time). but anyway. I can't get over how blue that water is!
Lovely pictures, Betsy! Looks like you guys had an amazing time, and great memories to take with you to keep you warm!
ReplyDeleteDarn you and your beachy vacation photos! I AM freezing, thankyouverymuch ;)
ReplyDeleteHa, as expressed below and I very jealous of all your beachy photos and your glorious weather! x

There are few things better than escaping winter for a week. Your grams were taunting me as I sat swaddled in blankets during an especially cold winter in the Midwest. Love how happy you guys looked. Family vacays rule. And I dare say they get so much better with age.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so gorgeous there! It really is so wonderful that your family was able to gather together to celebrate such a special occasion. So sweet!!
ReplyDeleteWell, that looks positively delightful! Though the temperatures are back to a more tolerable level now, I could do with a beach vacation!
