1. low-key
2. beach
3. crab feast
Well, after this past weekend, I can definitely say: check, check, and check! Twelve of us drove out to a house Sarah had found on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay - about an hour and a half from DC, though dear friends made the trip from Connecticut, New York, and Philadelphia, too - and we settled in for two days of good food, summertime brews, Disney movies, Cards against Humanity, feet in the water, jellyfish, antiquing, brilliant sunshine, epic thunderstorms, and lots and lots of wonderful conversation. I couldn't have asked for a better pause amongst all the chaos than our weekend away.
By the way, you only have two more days to enter my giveaway - it's a wedding gift from me to you, so check it out!
That looks like such a fun time, and what a beautiful setting! I love Cards Against Humanity- it always makes for a hilarious time. It sounds like you had an awesome weekend!

ReplyDeleteOn another note, the RIP crab photo is so funny I laughed and then I felt bad. Poor crab.
What a fun weekend, I love the idea of it being lowkey and casual as opposed to rowdy! I'm still thinking about what I want for mine...
ReplyDeleteThis seriously looks like such a fun time! i'm dying for the beach (and the east coast honestly...) so I'm very jealous. I swear, I saw about 7 or 8 pictures of crabs on IG that weekend. The RIP crab photo made me laugh!
ReplyDeletemy friend Nora, a total city girl, saw the crab and saw nothing else because it was such a new exciting thing and was like OOH LOOK GUYS A CRAB DID YOU SEE IT? No, Nora, it swam up into the heart all by itself... haha :)
