Monday Laugh

Last spring, my sister gave me one of the funniest - and most inappropriate - books I've ever read: Chelsea Handler's autobiography.  Are You There, Vodka?  It's Me, Chelsea had me snorting with laughter.

I had to give the book back to Sarah when I moved to England, alas, but happily it's being turned into an NBC show this fall!  Check out the trailer - I dare you not to guffaw embarrassingly.

  1. Haha! If you like hilariously embarassing life stories by female writers you might also like Laurie Notaro's "The Idiot Girls' Action Adventure Club" and/or Tina Fey's new book "Bossypants."
Both make me laugh out loud and make me slightly less embarassed about my own embarassing screw ups.

  2. Betsy, FYI, the REAL Chelsea Handler appears (are we surprised?) to be the only US talkshow host capable of interviewing British comics at their own level. (I've been watching her work on YouTube). For me this makes her a godsend. Only thing keeping me alive right now and I mean that very seriously. Rest of the country is as humorless, aggressive and, in short, fucked as it always was. Glad you're feeling less poorly. RH
