I We are having a traditional French cake though, mini chocolate ganache cupcakes with vanilla cream, strawberry tarts, 3 chocolate mousse, mini homemade shortbread biscuits heart shaped for the coffee cups ... all this will be presented buffet style. Unknown to the French but I like this then people can choose want they want instead of getting everything and then too much stuff getting wasted ... we will also have a candy table with traditional ENglish sweets (btw I am english and my other half is french)

Love Chrissi xo

www.christianaholt.blogspot.comChrissi Holtnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2442709270787168376.post-12670952848240846772012-10-24T08:39:23.780-04:002012-10-24T08:39:23.780-04:00Your wedding is going to be fantastic! It sounds ...Your wedding is going to be fantastic! It sounds like you are inserting a lot of your personalities into everything. That's what make a wedding fabulous. The personal touches.

We were married in San Antonio and wanted to combine the US/UK touches. The venue where we were married was owned by an English couple and they were known for their sticky toffee pudding, so that was a definite crowd pleaser. We also had a traditional US wedding cake and also added on a traditional British Wedding Cake of fruitcake and fondant.

It meant so much to Matt. Since his grandmother was unable to attend we were able to send a slice of the traditional wedding to her (via his parents). It made her feel part of the festivities. i think it was good that our guests had options. They were able to try something new and then enjoy themselves with something they liked.

I can't wait to see more!!

xoxo
SelenaSelenahttp://twitter.com/SelenaThePlacesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2442709270787168376.post-80959670732868541052012-10-24T08:37:21.289-04:002012-10-24T08:37:21.289-04:00If you need a taste tester, let me know. Literally I've spent all day calling Alex at work pestering him about what needs to be done for our wedding and (after reading this) just called him again to ask "DO WE NEED A WEDDING CAKE?! HOW ARE WE DOING OUR CAKE?! WHAT'S FOR DESSERT?!" I don't know how to plan an English wedding... because apparently all my input is "so American". Typical!Taylorhttp://twitter.com/HeyTayKnoreply@blogger.com
